How an arena works
- Join any time while it runs. As soon as you’re free, you’re paired with another free player close to your score and rating, and never the same opponent twice in a row while others are waiting.
- A win scores 2 points, a draw 1 and a loss 0. Win two in a row and you’re on fire: every further win scores 4, until you fail to win.
- Every game is rated in the arena’s own pool (bullet, blitz or rapid for chess) and everyone plays the same clock.
- Need a break? Pause and you won’t be paired until you resume. When time runs out, games still in progress can finish, and then the final standings freeze.
- No account and no download: you play under your online name, as in any online game, and your results go on your profile.
